10. I delight in hardware stores and lumber yards.

9. I get to buy scads of home improvement books and magazines, guilt free.

8. I like to own cool tools.

7. I'm fond of problem solving.

6. I fancy the opportunity to use my brain and hands at the same time.

5. I hold high the wearing of shorts and t-shirts to work.

4. Within any given day, I think the world of being close to Starbucks in the morning and Sonic in the afternoon (the perfect bookends for a handyman's day).

3. I long to see things fixed, as opposed to worn out and thrown away.
